Picture of the Week #73

This is the beautiful city of Toronto on a mid-summer afternoon... and look at it now - it's so cold!

I always find large cities from the West look very similar to each other. Tall overwhelming structures, neat architecture. Glass n chrome. clean. Compare them to say Indias cities - and each looks distinctly different- Delhi? Calcutta? Bangalore?

You're right.

On one hand we can say that Indian cities are unplanned, polluted, dirty and with crumbling infrastructure.

But on the other hand, like you said, each city in India is distinctly different, which makes it fun to explore. The street vendors and local festivals add a unique flavor to each city that is missing in all the western cities.

What most cities in the US or Canada lack is history.
